Sky Portraits

 

As far as we know, we do not come from the sky, but throughout human history we have been deeply connected to it, religiously or metaphysically.  Under Akhenaten of ancient Egypt, the “Amun-Re” theology was altered to worship not the god-creator of all the earth, heavens, and sky (Re), but to worship the sun disk (Aten) itself.  The sky is a force, as if it is alive.  The full range of human emotions that flow within and through us are reflected by those moods the skies themselves reveal.  Like a fingerprint, every sky leaves a unique and lasting impression on our very thoughts and dreams.
